Washing Greens to store:
I like to fill the sink with fresh cold water and submerge the greens in the water. Add about 2 tablespoons of salt and swish around for a bit. I like to let it soak for about 3 or 4 minutes, then rinse and spin. I bought myself a new salad spinner Zyliss brand at Home Sense yesterday. It has a pulley system by that makes the spinner go around. I especially love the Oxo brand of salad spinners, but could not find them this time. Then I like to put the greens in a plastic container with a fitted lid or in plastic bags with ties, and put in the crisper drawer of the refrigerator. This helps to crisp up the leaves, and they are all nice and ready for a handful to go into a soup or salad at a moments notice. Enjoy!
